Scanning Files with Sophos Endpoint
Sophos Endpoint Protection allows you to scan individual files or folders for potential threats.
Quick Scan a File
- Right-click on the file or folder you want to scan
- Select "Scan with Sophos Endpoint"
- Wait for the scan to complete
- Review the results
Using the Sophos Interface
- Click the Sophos shield icon in your system tray
- Select "Open Sophos Endpoint"
- Click "Scan my computer"
- Choose "Quick scan" or "Full scan"
Understanding Scan Results
- Clean - No threats detected
- Threat detected - Sophos will automatically quarantine or clean the file
- PUA detected - Potentially Unwanted Application found
What to Do If a Threat is Found
Sophos will automatically handle most threats. If you're unsure about an alert or need assistance, contact our support team immediately.
