Fix Common VPN Connection Problems

Having trouble connecting to your company VPN? Try these steps.

Basic Troubleshooting

  1. Check your internet connection - VPN requires a working internet connection first
  2. Restart the VPN client - Close it completely and reopen
  3. Restart your computer - This fixes many connection issues
  4. Check your credentials - Make sure username and password are correct

Common Issues and Solutions

"Connection timed out" or "Unable to reach server"

"Authentication failed"

"Already connected" error

If Using Home WiFi

  1. Restart your home router
  2. Try connecting with ethernet cable instead of WiFi
  3. Move closer to your router for stronger signal
