Troubleshoot Your Internet Connection
Before contacting support, try these steps to diagnose and fix common connection issues.
Step 1: Check the Basics
- Look at your Wi-Fi or ethernet icon in the system tray (bottom right)
- A yellow triangle or "No Internet" message indicates a problem
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on if using wireless
Step 2: Test Your Connection
- Open your web browser
- Try visiting google.com
- If it loads, your internet is working
- If not, continue troubleshooting
Step 3: Run Windows Network Troubleshooter
- Right-click the network icon in your system tray
- Click Troubleshoot problems or Diagnose
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- Windows will attempt to identify and fix the issue
Step 4: Restart Your Network Adapter
- Press Windows + I to open Settings
- Click Network & Internet
- Click Advanced network settings
- Find your adapter and click Disable
- Wait 10 seconds, then click Enable
